An offering to a
Temple by a devotee has an element of personal sacrifice of
his might and will to appease the God to get solace,
blessings, and well being in his life. There are 90 items of Vazhipadu in this Temple to suit the prayers and
requirements of each devotee. Certain Vazhipadus are specially
offered for some specific purposes and blessings. The
pushpanjali with mantras of Bhagya Sootkam, Saraswatha
Sooktham, Mrithyunjaya Sooktham etc are generally offered for
specific purposes and prayers. The Ganapathy Homa, Karuka Homa,
Karuka Mala to Ganapathy are for removing all stakes in one’s
life, particularly for children.
The Lakshmi Narayana Pooja, Dambathy pooja, Chandanam Charthal
are offered for the harmony and welfare in domestic life.
Brahmarakshassu pooja, Ganapathy Homa, Vilakkumala are offered
for the wellbeing of the house and properties. The Naga pooja,
Rahu pooja, Palum noorum kodukkal etc are offered for the
blessings of serpents and to avoid sarpadhosha. Bhagavathy
Seva, Pushapanjali, Thali charthal are offered for the Chowwa
dhosha in life. Uma Maheswara Pooja, Swayamvara Pushapanjali,
etc are offered for early and sound marriage life.
Mrithyunjaya Homa, Mrithyunjaya Pushpanjali, Dhara with 101 kudams etc are offered for long life and recovery from all
illness. The Vavu oottu, Annadanam, Vasthra danam etc are
offered to appease Brahmins.
